Extensometers with high measured value resolution

Extensometers with high measured value resolution are used to determine the tensile modulus in plastics testing and are available as mechanical contact systems or non-contact optical measurement systems. For lower testing volumes, Zwick supplies simple manually applied extensometers, while operator-friendly automatic attachment systems are available for frequent testing. Swiveling knife-edges allow these extensometers to remain attached until specimen break without being damaged.

Macro Extensometer

This is a universal best seller, a high-resolution extensometer for tensile, compression, flexure and cyclic tests on plastics, rigid foams and metals displaying low to medium specimen extension.

multiXtens

A unique extensometer with excellent measuring accuracy combined with an extremely wide measuring range results in the multiXtens being ideal for varying applications which place big demands on the extensometer measuring system (plastics and metals testing).

videoXtens

videoXtens provides contact-free, high resolution measurement of compressive deformations on all types of plastics, metals, rubbers, composites and foils.

lightXtens

optiXtens measures metals, plastics and composites optically, with no mechanical contact and no application of optical marks.

Digital Clip-On Extensometer

This unique digital clip-on extensometer is suitable for precise modulus and yield point determination to ISO 527-1 for rigid and semi-rigid plastics and for determining strain at maximum stress plus strain at break on rigid plastics with low extension.
