A standard-compliant notch is essential for reliable results in an impact test. Notch Vision provides fast optical measurement of both the notch and the dimensions of the Charpy impact specimen. It measures specimens to ISO (U and V-notches), ASTM E 23 (Types A and C) and DIN 50115 (KLST, DVM and DVMK specimens).

Insertion of the specimens is followed by automatic contact-free measurement, eliminating operator error and guaranteeing reproducible test results. In addition, Notch Vision delivers test results considerably more quickly than conventional instruments.
