Testing Plastic Pipes and Fittings

Pipe systems made of thermoplastic or glassfiber-reinforced plastics are generally used for transporting water or gases, for which they are subject to high quality and performance requirements. 

There are a very large number of national and international Standards for the testing of plastic pipes in accordance with the areas of use and the various materials employed.. 
 
Both the material characteristics of the plastic used and the service characteristics of the finished pipe are tested, with many of these tests being performed using Zwick testing machines.
